Pearl city is a nice place to go for Chinese karaoke + dinner session. They have private rooms 2nd floor upstairs which with a minimum charge of 60 pounds. If we go with a few friends, we would order a number of dishes to share which are easily over 60 pounds. There are also English songs available for non-Chinese people to sing.
I've seen people doing a private clubbing session here in the private room when they turn on loud dance music & dance in the room. You can also order drinks instead of food which might be more suitable for the western customers.
1st floor is normal restaurant & their dim sum are quite good. -

Party of 6 for a Chinese set meal banquet.
The food is quite nice but nothing spectacular.
The service is very rough around the edges and the staff seem very unhappy.
While i was there accidentally a staff member spilt a glass of lager down , she was apologetic and accidents happen however no formal apology or good will gesture was mentioned from management which i thought was a poor show . -

I really liked Pearl City and would definitely go back to try more of its excellent menu which features favourites such as sichuan beef (really tasty) but also more unusual dishes such as tofu stuffed with eggplant and various casseroles. The dim sum is excellent too, and not too pricey, the har gau and prawn in paper were my favourites as the prawns had a really good flavour. The only thing I wouldn't recommend was the fried squid starter as it was quite bland. We got a selection of meats which were all good but I'd probably go just for pork belly next time - it was delicious!

Fantastic service and great food.
I ordered the chicken with Cashew nuts. The dish is traditionally very neutral, so I can't comment on the flavor profile, however the textures were absolutely there.
My favorite part of Asian culture when visiting is how involved mealtimes are. All the dishes, smells, people, and sounds come together to orchestrate a fantastic experience. This visit absolutely delivered a proper experience!
I haven't yet been to Hong Kong, however the experience here can relate to some more upscale places in Beijing.
Highly recommended! -

So after an evening out in town, admittedly after a few drinks, friends and I decided to have some Chinese food. There were 5 of us and we were very hungry and ordered a lot of food. Unfortunately, we ended uat Pearl City. Sadly the food was rather delicious. I mean really the food was really good. However, the what can only be described as aggressive and unreasonably confrontational, what I can only assume is a potential manager of this establishment ruined the whole evening that we had. The restaurant was dead, we were literally the only table there and had a large food order - to be told to keep the noise down. Completely unappreciated and exceptionally rude. The wait staff were fantastic and completely helpful, however this senior member of staff totally ruined our evening.
